Saving money on homeschool curriculum

As I start to think ahead to the next school year. I feel a mixture of excitement and dread. Excitement because of how well homeschooling has worked so far but dread because we will no longer be in the “trying it out” period where it’s ok to mess up so the perfectionist in me feels more pressure and is less inclined to be so informal with unschooling.

At the same time I don’t want to limit our choices by purchasing a boxed curriculum that would cost a lot and may not work for us. So I have been trying to find cheap/free affordable resources that will cover the basic goals for the year and I will allow Shammy to determine the rest.

I was very excited when I woke up this morning and realized that the Build Your Bundle curriculum sale had gone live. This is the biggest homeschool sale of the year! I am not an affiliate and I don’t get commission for telling you about it but I must share this amazing option to save lots of money while getting a wide assortment of homeschool planning and curriculum resources.

They offer pre-made bundles starting at just $10 for many grade levels and types of subjects with the additional option to build your own bundle with only the items that you want. All of their bundles are deeply discounted and they also offer Buy 2 get 1 Free deals so you can save even more! I purchased their Copywork bundle since Shammy doesn’t tire of it and built my own bundle with social studies and history resources. In the end I saved 87% from the retail price of buying all of these items separately. I just wouldn’t have bought most of these resources at regular price because I wouldn’t have that much money for curriculum!

And to sweeten the deal even more, every purchase no matter how small includes lots of bonuses with discounts on additional resources.

So aside from math and science the next school year is off to a good planning start. I will probably be getting these resources from Homeschool Buyers Co-op and Educents, great places to join for free to be informed of steep discounts on materials, as the bundle sale will be over by the time my budget is replenished.

To learn more and take advantage of the build your bundle sale you must hurry as this sale ends on June 1st and you won’t be able to buy these bundles after that date.
